San Franciscans have had their bus lines cut, fares increased, and their commutes prolonged.
So we’ve created a proposal that meets the needs of our city.
Our proposal fairly funds Muni and is expected to grow transit service into the future.

Muni Forever Proposal
The Muni Forever Proposal
San Franciscans are facing a cost of living crisis, and the proposed tax from City Hall is neither sufficient nor fair.
That is why we propose a parcel tax that grows service, is fairly funded, protects tenants, and can sustain Muni into the future.
Generates enough to Grow Service
When paired with the regional measure, the funding will be enough to:
Grow service by 10%
Reduce congestion - keeps transit riders on buses instead of the road
Improve service - move people at scale for events, commutes, and more
Stimulate economic recovery - every $1 spent on transit generates $2-3 in economic benefit
Sustain service improvements even when costs rise
Generates over $260 million - 75% more than City Hall’s proposal
Fairly Funded
96% of home owners will be paying only $8.25/month
Visit sfparcels.org to find out what you pay.
Better transit shouldn’t come solely from the backs of everyday San Franciscans and small businesses. We believe big businesses should pay their fair share.
Small businesses save more with lower rates compared to the city’s proposal
Exempts SSI+SSDI owner-occupied parcels and 100% affordable housing developments
Absolutely no tax passthroughs to rent-controlled units

City Hall’s Proposal
Example Tax calculation
A 7,000 square foot grocery store under our proposal will be paying:
$399 for the first 6,000 square feet
$290 for the additional 1,000 square feet
for a total of $689.
Compare that to the city’s proposal which will be charging $3520 for the same store.
